Defense
From military bases, command post, ports, airfields, and depots, video surveillance involved with force protection is critical. Speed and ease drives the need for many of our DOD installations. Defense applications typically rely on a maintenance solution with the quickest turn-around that is not hindered by security clearances plagued by 3rd party or civilian resources. MG Squared’s lowering systems allow a branch service/military technician the ability to maintain cameras (or other mounted equipment) quickly and efficiently avoiding any prolonged passive breach of security.
MG Squared has built a synergy with the top defense contractors, engineers, and integrators involving highly customized systems for unique applications in the DOD world. The MG Squared Camera Lowering System utilizes a patented spring assisted connector assembly developed to operate multi-function surveillance cameras (color, B/W, thermal, IR). Our connector body is molded in thermosetting synthetic polymer and meet Mil Spec Q-9858 and Mil Spec I-45208 for the highest in reliability in the harshest environments. The connector pins allow for typical camera functions such as pan, tilt and zoom as well as data transfer needs including 100 base TX standards when installed with our IP contact assembly. The unit is rated for winds of 130 per hour (210 km/h) with a 1.3 gust factor and a 1.6 safety factor. Thus minimal movement, if any, is transferred to mounted devices. The MG Squared lowering system is compatible with many high end camera/imaging and positioner systems such as FLIR, ICX, MOOG, BOSCH.
